Objet Geometries Brings its Award-Winning 3-D Printing Technology to the Desktop

REHOVOT, Israel, October 15 /PRNewswire/ --

- New Alaris(TM)30 Printer Offers Unprecedented Detail, Cost Efficiency
and Ease-of-Use for Desktop 3-D Printing

Objet Geometries Ltd. (http://www.objet.com), the innovation leader in
3-D printing, today announced the launch of its newest printer, the
Alaris(TM)30. This first-of-its-kind desktop model allows designers and
manufacturers to create durable, high-quality models at minimal cost and with
utmost accuracy and ease of use. The office-friendly system - small enough to
fit on a desk - prints true-to-life parts with exceptional detail, including
"finished-quality" smooth surfaces, moving parts and text that stands out
clearly.

"The Alaris(TM)30 will enable firms to enhance their competitiveness by
applying the most advanced in-house rapid prototyping capabilities
available," said Adina Shorr, CEO of Objet Geometries. "This system allows
enterprises to create models with an unprecedented degree of detail while
shortening design cycles, reducing cost of errors, promoting team creativity
and further ensuring confidentiality - all from the desktop."

The Technology Behind the Innovation

The groundbreaking innovation that is the foundation of the Alaris(TM)30
is Objet's market-leading PolyJet(TM) Photopolymer Jetting Technology, which
achieves high accuracy and resolution (600 x 600 dpi) by jetting proprietary
FullCure photopolymer materials in 28micro layers. Similar to a line printer,
the jetting head slides back and forth along the X-axis depositing a single
layer of photopolymer onto the build tray. Each layer is immediately cured
and hardened by UV light, producing fully cured models that can be handled
immediately without additional post-curing.

Using a VeroWhite model material and the gel-like FullCure Support
material, the Alaris(TM)30 print heads synchronously jet identical amounts of
materials onto the tray. The geometry of the support structure enables
complicated geometries, such as cavities, overhangs, undercuts, delicate
features and walls as thin as 0.6mm. When the build is finished, the
non-toxic support material is easily removed by water jetting or by hand, and
the model is ready for fit, form and function testing, or a variety of
immediate applications such as painting, drilling, chrome-plating or use as
molds for tooling.

Office-Friendly and Easy-to-Use

Designed for high productivity as well as high accuracy, the Alaris(TM)30
operates like a network printer, serving the needs of multiple designers
throughout a firm. In addition, the system's 300 x 200 x 150mm build tray
allows large models or many small parts to be built simultaneously - saving
time and money - and its four cartridge loading permits up to 36 hours of
unattended printing.

The Alaris(TM)30 requires only simple printer management with no special
electricity requirements. Like other Objet models, it also utilizes the Objet
Studio(TM) software to ensure easy operation and allow designers to turn any
3-D CAD file into a highly accurate model with just a few mouse clicks.

The Alaris(TM)30 joins other groundbreaking rapid prototyping solutions
offered by Objet. These include the award-winning Connex500(TM), the world's
first 3-D printer with the ability to print multiple model materials with
varying mechanical properties simultaneously.
