network operators, today announced the opening of a new center for both
research and development and customer support services in Belfast, Northern
Ireland. The company established the facility under an agreement with Invest
Northern Ireland (NI), which attracts new investment to the country.

Bytemobile currently maintains R&D centers in Patras, Greece; Mountain
View, California; and Champaign, Illinois. Like the Champaign center, the
Belfast facility will specialize in the research, prototyping and
demonstration of new wireless network infrastructure technology for mobile
internet applications. Bytemobile also maintains regional customer support
operations in Patras; Mountain View; Wokingham, U.K.; and Beijing, China. The
Belfast center will be directed by Warren Simpson, vice president of
Worldwide Customer Support.
