Arete Power, Inc. offers for sale a key flywheel energy storage system
technology patent. The Company has put up for sale U.S. Patent No. 6,664,680,
which covers flywheel systems utilizing high speed steel flywheels that are
supported by active magnetic bearings. Having previously been licensed to one
other flywheel system manufacturer, the patent is now available for purchase.

Some flywheel energy storage system manufacturers currently utilizing
steel flywheels include Vycon, Inc., Active Power, Inc. and Piller Power
Systems.
