Online Directories buy Into .tel Domain Opportunity


LONDON, January 20 /PRNewswire/ --     Telnic Limited (http://www.telnic.org), the registry operator for the new
.tel top level domain, today welcomed strong interest from online directory
service providers for .tel domains.

Organizations that own trademarks from countries as diverse as
the United States, France, South Africa, Canada, Germany and the United
Kingdom have applied for.tel domains including Yell.com, Yellow Pages, Les
Pages Jaunes, Paginas Blancas, L annuaire and Les Pages Blanches.

"Yellow page providers have clearly understood that the DNS is
the ultimate database for managing and publishing live contact information

Applications from trademark holders are still being taken
during the protected Sunrise period until February 2nd 2009, after which time
