Video Conferencing Back on the map - mvision Present at the Institute of Travel Management Forum

LONDON, January 19 /PRNewswire/ -- mvision, a UK Managed Service provider of video conferencing and
telepresence solutions, took part in the Institute of Travel Management (ITM)
forum in the City of London on January 15.

Entitled 'ECO-nomics - The Realities of a Green Programme', the forum
attracted over 100 visitors interested in learning about the business travel
environmental debate, from the latest on scientific thinking to breaching
behaviour change blockage and the rise of Video Conferencing.

Kevin Stavers, Sales & Marketing Director at mvision was on a panel with
British Airways, World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) and BT discussing whether
video conferencing really is an alternative option for those companies
wishing to reduce costs and carbon emissions.

Stavers outlined the year ahead for the business travel market and the
challenges travel managers will have with regards to changes in travel policy
and cost-containment strategies. He further demonstrated, using a combination
of industry analysis and real-life case studies, how a fully managed video
conferencing solution can provide companies with an effective alternative to
many business trips.

"Companies are cutting back on their travel budgets and every new request
to travel will be examined for a return on investment. Despite these
challenges, face-to-face meetings are essential. It is my belief that 2009 is
the year of video conferencing and telepresence," Stavers commented. "By
removing the obstacles to mass video adoption; specifically cost, quality and
reliability issues, managed video services enable companies of any size to
reduce travel costs and their carbon footprint, and increase productivity."

Other organisations that took part in the forum included
PricewaterhouseCoopers, Office of Government Commerce, Aviation Environment
Federation and Cranfield University.
