Northrop Grumman Showcases Defence and Homeland Security Capabilities at IDEX 2009


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, February 20 /PRNewswire/ --

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will highlight a wide range of
defence and security infrastructure system solutions including airborne early
warning and control systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, fire control radars
and electronic warfare systems at the International Defence Exhibition &
Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

IDEX is one of the world's largest exhibitions showcasing systems and
equipment and services for all three defence environments, land, sea and air.
IDEX 2009 takes place on the 22-26 February 2009 at the Abu Dhabi National
Exhibition Centre.

Northrop Grumman will be exhibiting in Hall 03 at stand numbers A38, A41
and CS1.

Northrop Grumman has had an active presence in the Middle East for more
than a decade with its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The company
opened an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2008.

On display will be Northrop Grumman's world leading capabilities in
airborne early warning and control. Featured will be the E-2 Hawkeye and 737
airborne early warning and control (AEW&C), multi-role electronically scanned
array (MESA) surveillance radar.

An E-2 Hawkeye airborne early warning and battle management system crew
workstation and flyable cockpit simulator aimed at demonstrating maritime
reconnaissance will be featured.

Also on display will be Northrop Grumman's AN/APG-68(V)9 mechanically
scanned array radar for the F-16 multi-role fighter aircraft.

The Fire Scout vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicle for
intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance will also be featured.

Other programmes available for viewing will be a range of electronic
warfare systems, simulators and sensors including directional infrared
countermeasures (DIRCM); Firefinder radar system for weapon location; Combat
Electromagnetic Environment Simulator (CEESIM) & Signal Measurement System
(SMS); Joint Threat Emitter (JTE); combat Aviation Crew Trainer (ACT); and
the Longbow Apache radar and Longbow Hellfire missile system.

Northrop Grumman's German subsidiary, Northrop Grumman LITEF, will also
be exhibiting at IDEX and will be displaying its navigation systems for land
vehicles, sensors for weapon stabilisation, inertial guidance systems for
missiles and AHRS / navigation systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing wing
aircraft. Northrop Grumman LITEF will be in the German pavilion in Hall 08 at
stand A25.
