will be ready in time for their Centenary Year celebrations which begin in
September 2009 and continue until October 2010. Through a partnership with
BIS this technology investment underlines Girlguiding UK as a modern, forward
thinking organisation and reflects their commitment to providing relevant
skills to their members in the 21st century.

Hilary Chittock, Girlguiding UK's Head of Membership Support
Services said, "For obvious reasons our data needs to be secure. With BIS as
our technology partner we have been able to design and deploy a secure hosted
web platform within a BIS Datacentre. This new platform will free our 80,000
adult volunteers from time consuming paperwork, leaving them to focus on
providing new adventures for the half a million young members aged between 5
and twenty five across the UK."
