More Than 2,500 Top Representatives From 21 Nations Have Registered for the World's Largest Hosting Event

HUERTH and COLOGNE, Germany, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The web hosting sector is gathering in Germany from March 18 to 20, when
intergenia AG, together with about 50 high-class international partners
invites to WebhostingDay 2009. The world's largest hosting conference
celebrates its fifth jubilee in 2009 and it beats all former records with
this year's event. The attendee limit for the event location - Phantasialand
in Bruehl near Cologne - has been reached for the first time with over 2,500
registered visitors from 21 nations. In comparison to the previous year, this
number signifies an increase of about 150 percent.

The organizers can also register a great success concerning the number of
partners. While there have already been 40 companies last year, who
contributed to WebhostingDay with talks and fair booths, this number could be
enhanced to more than 50 in 2009. Among those companies, there are many
well-known and internationally operating enterprises like Microsoft, Intel,
AMD, Parallels, Interxion, HP or Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

With these figures, WebhostingDay defies the world-wide financial crisis
as well as the regressive trend which has become apparent at many trade fairs
like CeBIT. "The reasons are probably that WebhostingDay, due to its numerous
partner companies as well as the great professional quality of its visitors,
forms an optimal platform to meet the top players of the industry," explains
intergenia's president Thomas Strohe. "The who's who of the European hosting
sector is going to visit WebhostingDay or exhibit there." Like in the year
2008, when more than 50 percent of the visitors came from the CEO/CTO level.

In the mornings, WebhostingDay starts with the main.FORUM, where
successful masterminds from the industry report about topics affecting the
web hosting business. Amongst others, Allen Clark from Microsoft, Shannon
Poulin from Intel, Serguei Belloussov from Parallels and Jochen Polster from
AMD will be holding a talk. In the afternoons, the hosting.SESSIONs are held,
where industry experts talk about news and facts worth knowing all around the
topics hosting and internet. Speakers will be, for example, Michael Homborg
from Fujitsu Siemens Computers or Lex Coors from Interxion.

The technical program is rounded up by hosting.FAIR, a trade fair where
the partner companies present their products and services and enter into
close dialog with the visitors. On the second event day, CloudCamp will be
held parallel to WebhostingDay. Early adopters of cloud computing techniques
come together in order to exchange about experiences, challenges and
solutions.

Of course, fun shall not be missed out for the sake of business.
Therefore, visitors may use the attractions in between and celebrate together
with industry colleagues at the extraordinary parties in the evenings. And
for those, who would like to conclude WebhostingDay with some final business
talks, BizBrunch on March 20 will offer the right surroundings.
