Spurred by Continuing International Growth, La Perla Appoints Chief Investment Officer
AMSTERDAM, September 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Having realized another year of record sales and profits in 2006, La Perla International Living has taken steps to assure its continued growth by appointing a dedicated Chief Investment Officer whose responsibility will be to find and bring to market the opportunities to sustain the company's growth into the future. With La Perla International Living corporate revenues reaching EUR 77.7 million in 2006 ( +36.3% over last year's EUR 57.0 million), resulting net profit of EUR 26.4 million (+11.1 % versus 2005) and a net equity value of EUR 99.2 million at the end of 2006 (+35.4 % over 2005), La Perla has appointed Christophe Piffaretti as its Chief Investment Officer effective September 1, joining both the La Perla International Living management team and its Board of Directors. La Perla International Living is a member of the La Perla Group of Companies, which holds varied interests in the international residential real estate business. A native of Switzerland and a graduate of both the University of Lausanne (B.Sc.Economics) and the Lausanne Hotel School (B.Sc.International Hospitality Management), Christophe experienced the hospitality business first hand before joining the Kempinski Hotel Group in 1998 as Director Strategic Planning. He went on to become Senior Vice President Expansion before being appointed Managing Director of Kempinski Residences, based in Geneva, Switzerland and responsible for the newly created, Kempinski branded real estate business unit. He will be based in La Perla International Living's international headquarters in Amsterdam.
