Light Reading Produces Industry's Largest Mobile Virtual Tradeshow, Mobile 2012

NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire/ --

- Light Reading's Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow debuted on Thursday, June
11, with the industry's leading mobile experts and over 1700 registrants and
10 sponsors.

Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the leading online publication for
the telecom industry, and Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), its
prestigious market research division, produced their first virtual tradeshow
on June 11, The Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow, covering the future of mobile
services. With 1,774 registrants, over 850 attendees, and 10 sponsors, Light
Reading's highly successful Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow was the industry's
largest virtual tradeshow in the wireless communications industry.

Heavy Reading's leading wireless experts moderated the Mobile 2012
Virtual Tradeshow conference sessions, led by Conference Chair and Senior
Analyst, Gabriel Brown, with participation from Heavy Reading Chief Analyst
Graham Finnie and Senior Analyst, Patrick Donegan.

Keynote speaker Wim Sweldens, Vice President Alcatel-Lucent Ventures and
Network Technology, Bell Labs, discussed how rapid innovation cycles are
changing the face of mobile service development. Panel sessions covered
multiple aspects of mobile broadband including the Transition to LTE,
backhaul, the role of third-party developers, and the Evolved Packet Core.

"Virtual events are a great way to share high-quality content and
interact with a large audience," says Mobile 2012 Conference Chair, Gabriel
Brown. "Feedback from attendees and exhibitors is that they appreciate the
expense and time savings, and reduced environmental impact, of this format.

"Our technology-literate audience understands the tradeoffs between
in-person events and easy-access virtual events. As the underlying platform
continues to evolve, we'll be able to further improve the end user
experience."

The Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow, which took place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ET, included all the elements of a live event and more, such as an auditorium
with four different panel sessions and one keynote session, as well as video
presentations and live Q&A; exhibitor booths on the show floor with chat
features allowing suppliers and buyers to interact; downloadable materials
from exhibitor booths; and a virtual lounge, the show's most highly
trafficked area with 475 visitors, allowing attendees to network with each
other.

Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow sponsors included Platinum Sponsor
Alcatel-Lucent; Gold sponsors Fujitsu, Harris Stratex, and LSI; and Bronze
Sponsors Aricent, Ceragon, Motorola, Rad Data Communications, Radysis, and
WiChorus. The Mobile 2012 Virtual Tradeshow was promoted extensively via
Light Reading's Network of 400,000 unique visitors. This included targeted
promotions to Light Reading's Unstrung, the industry's leading 4G
publication, as well as its newly acquired RCR Wireless database of over
60,000 qualified email addresses. With a registration goal of 1,000
