Interim Management Consultancy, Impact Executives, Reveals Results of IT Leadership Report

LONDON, September 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Impact Executives, a leading interim management
( http://www.impactexecutives.com ) consultancy, has revealed striking
findings from the latest Harvey Nash & CIO UK IT leadership report. Findings
suggest IT has entered the downturn as a true "business" function, rather
than simply a technical function. The report also reveals that businesses
are now more responsive to IT led innovations that can reduce business
costs or generate new sources of revenue.

The report features an IT leadership survey - which polled 1,300 IT
leaders across Europe, and detailed commentary from IT leaders in the UK. It
examines how executives are managing and motivating their IT teams during
difficult economic conditions.

The report, recently published by interim management company, Impact
Executives, shows that IT leaders are being more communicative both up and
down the chain. They are reassuring their teams and the business at large,
and they are leading by example. They are making tough decisions: 73 per cent
changed their IT strategy this year, but change is being managed in a
structured and sympathetic way, with a focus on recovery, not panic.

Dave Williams, IT Director for Confused.com, is one of the IT leaders who
provided supporting commentary for the survey. He says, "In the last downturn
I learned how to negotiate contracts and to understand the market better as
well as developing good people skills," he continues "this time around IT
leaders have a better business head." The full report features commentary
from Jora Gill, VP of international business systems at Standard and Poor's,
and Adrian Dilworth, CIO of Vodafone Qatar.
