  • RS-232 (RS-232 connector)

    RS-232 connector is usually used to upgrade device's firmware and can't be normally used to transfer videos from the device to a PC.

  • MHP (MHP support)

    MHP is a unified standard for interactive digital TV services. The standard is mostly used in the Nordic countries.

  • Teletext (Integrated Teletext)

    Integrated Teletext allows using Teletext services with the device, whether the connected TV supports Teletext or not.

  • Conax (Integrated Conax card reader)

    Conax is a form of encryption method used by several European pay-TV operators. Without Conax reader, those channels can't be accessed, as the authentication car provided by pay-TV operator can be read only by Conax reader.

  • Tuners (Number of tuners)

    If the device includes multiple tuners, it typically allows picture-in-picture functions (and, in case of PVR-capable devices, recording) for two or more channels, even if the channels are physically located in different multiplexes.

  • HDMI (HDMI output)

    If the device includes HDMI output, it can be connected digitally to a HDMI-capable display (for example, most flat-screen TVs).

  • Cable Ready HD (Cable Ready HD certified)

    Cable Ready HD certification is used in Finland to notify that the device is officially approved by Finnish cable TV operators to be used in receiving HDTV broadcast signal over cable TV.

i have a starview7 box and a a thebox super both were chipped to watch all virgin channels, now the they dont work and a message come up saying scrambled, how do i chip them again pls email is scarview7@hotmail.co.uk would appreciate some help, thanks

up untill today my box has been amazing my daughter went to put disney channel on and its just a blnk screen and none of the other channels are working either apart from the free one

hi my dauter bought the box super usb and can only get a few channels but no sports or movie when sh bought starview 3 i dl stuff of bigmaq tool bar do i need to do same whit sv4

this product worked for about 5 months good an now its does'nt it only picks up freeview chanels and not all of them and every other chanel says chanel not found.

i baught this device today and so far havnt been able to pick up any channels and i contacted the company i baught it off and they are been very un heplpful i was wondering if anybody cud help

This is a brilliant digital reciever. If the codes change it updates automatically (properly). It's already paid for itself about 7 or 8 times so far and still going. Its only succeeder will be the box super.

Good value for money no issues except you cannot turn of the back ground voices for people with poor eye sight or blind if it is broadcasted, would recommend that for future the RS232 is changed to usb only for upgrading any firmware.
