  • Data (Packet data modes)

Data transfer modes that are based on packet switching method rather than circuit switching, and offer a much faster and more efficient data transfer. For more information and comparision see for example here.

  • MMS (MMS support)

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a standard for telephone messaging systems that allows sending messages that include multimedia objects (images, audio, video, rich text) and not just text as in Short Message Service (SMS).

  • RAM memory (RAM memory)

RAM (Random access memory ) is the internal memory of the phone used to execute programs etc.

  • Display technology (Display technology)

Display technology in use. The options (from worse to best) are STN (LCD), CSTN (Color STN), TFT (Thin-Film Transistor), and OLED (organic light-emitting diode). The first three are all based on LCD technology, which unlike OLED, do require backlight.

  • Storage memory (Built-in storage memory)

Built-in storage memory expresses the amount of memory space available for storage of ringtones, pictures, videos, games etc. The most commonly used memory type is flash.

Works well for around 6 months, then it breaks and restarts spontaneously. If the battery goes dry, you sometimes have to unplug and replug the charger into the slot to boot it up and get it recharging. Crap buttons; too cramped and despite it being Walkman the sound quality is not as good as your average Walkman MP3 player. The OS is really sluggish for me as well.

Summary- Not bad for first 6 months of use, after that you may as well chuck it away.

Very good phone for only $199 AUD.
It has the features of a high end phone with the price of a budget phone. My only problems would be that it doesn't have a very loud speaker which is disappointing since its a walkman phone. Also the number keys may be hard for some people to use but its fine for me. I recommend you look at the phone before you buy it.

walkman phone, so yes, it's an awesome music phone, the megabass will kill you :-)

big screen for videos, with the most common media types supported (music and video).

the buttons are rubbish, really hard to send a text or play games which require numbers. numbers 1 2 3 and really hard because there isn't enough thumb room.

speaker has too much treble and not enough mid-rage.

has a 4gb m2 slot.

occasionally, the phone will restart due to a bug, it isn't a killer but shouldn't happen on a handset with this price.

if you have the mmr-70 radio, occasionally, it will disconnect and ask you again to what frequency you want transmitting, shouldn't do this from a handset at this price.

not bad.
