We are waiting for Blue Ray players to drop in price, and that will be our HD format of choice.

We purchased because of the free 7 movies, 130 buck price, and mainly for its up conversion for our regular DVDs.

well it kinda sucks that it is a dead format now, at least thats the way it looks, 7 free movies of which none i want to see again, but at least standard def dvd looks FREAKIN SWEET?

I've own this for a month and no problems with it, not only plays Hd-DVDs but my regular dvds look alot better too.
