I found this machine had everything I needed. I have the same equipment as eatsushi except for a 106" screen. The picture is great from all soruces. No problems reading DVD's or High def dvd's. I'm glad I waited for it. I found it for $448 at Brands Mart in South Florida.

For BluRay playback this Panasonic is BETTER than my PS3. I have it set to 1080p/24fps with an HDMI connection to a Sony VPL-VW50 1080p projector and a 110" screen.
Upconversion is a little on the soft side compared to my Toshiba HD-XA2/Reon but some people may actually prefer that.
This model bitstreams all advanced audio so no problems on my Denon receiver.
