Although I haven't used the one I just downloaded, I have been using Media Player Classic since stumbling apon it in the K-Lite CoDec pack...
Probably the best Video Player available...
Certainly hard to top...
You can even drop a folder of mixed media on it (or it's shortcut) and it'll play them all...
Even Elementary Streams!
If there's and AC3 and MP3 or MP2, It'll put them on a Menu for you...
Very usable and Well Thought Out...
