I have used CloneDVD/AnyDVD for over two years. Tried the rest, stuck with the best. Overall better encoder/decoder than DVDShrink.
It isn't free, and there are better choices if you do a lot of disc editing, but if you are looking for the best to make back-ups, look no further than CloneDVD.
Hands-down the best back-up software, period.
