I bought this keyboard primarily for the built in USB hub however I was disappointed from the outset.
The feel of the keys was apalling being horribly sticky unless struck absolutely centrally, which is unnatural and not the way most people type, this caused innumerable typos and despite persisting with it for about a week it didnt improve.
The rotary volume control is also very poorly engineerd to and it does not seem to have sufficient clearance underneath causing it to rub and stick when you rotate it.
The very worst thing for me though was that it simply did not work at boot time where prodding F1 to access the BIOS produced no result at all. Worse still it would not work in my standard Windows multiboot menu forcing me to have another keyboard attached at all times.
To be fair I must say that this fault only exhibited on the machine I bought it for, a Compaq CQ2311FR, on 3 other machines I tried it with it worked so there is some issue with the Compaq but then again 5 keyboards I have tried with this have all worked perfectly. That said in nearly 20 years of computing I have never encounterd a keyboard which wouldnt work in BIOS and even converting it to PS/2 with an adapter failed to make it work and I have to conclude that the problem is more the keyboards than the Compaqs
On contacting Perixx directly I received the very useful advice to try another USB port !
