Acer monitors such as the X243W with DVI input and HDCP support should be able to connect to a Cable Box's DVI output. It should be a no brainer and not something with which the consumer should have to fiddle around. That capability is implied in the specifications that Acer provides but doesn't work. Instead, I just get a message "Input not supported when connecting DVI on my monitor to DVI on my cable box. Their support people won't even discuss the issue. I've had quirky problems with their computers as well. I will never buy another Acer product again. http://www.4rails.com
