The recent problems with DVD Shrink come from Disney (and its associated studios like Buena Vista, Miramax etc.) adding another layer of copy protection which prevents Shrink from analysing the discs content.
To get around it use DVD Decrypter, RIPIT4ME and FFixVTS (all are freeware and come with 'idiot'-proof manuals).
Just tried it out with Pirates: Dead Man's Chest and works perfectly.
