GrayArea, yeah, AutoGK is usually just great. Only lately have I found it a little buggy, and only with one set of video source files. I've been backing up season one of Carnivale and 50% of the output files play in full 4:3 on my Philips 642 even though that's not the aspect ratio of the source file. The only way around it is to re-encode and manually choose a width which the Philips can handle without ballooning the video to 4:3. But other than that, it's great.

The question is simple...why? With other codecs such as Xvid yielding superior quality without depending on a hog such as Real to play...
