Core Temp 0.99.5.27 (Aug 09) is a CPU temperature monitoring driver, user interface and logger. Temperatures indicated are CPU internal and are taken from Digital Thermal Sensors (DTS). Optional log contains time, clock frequency, load and temperature in cvs format (Excel or Calc). API is available for those wanting to include it in their own programs.
Some tests with WinMPG 7.6.0 on AMD Sempron 3200+ 2 GB RAM: Original MPEG-2 file 105.7 MB, playing time 6:56 minutes - "normal quality" conversion 7:00 minutes to 28.8 MB DivX file, very little artifacts; "low quality" 7:10 minutes to 22.5 MB DivX file, visible motion artifacts, about S-VHS quality. Sound was good in both tests. Conversion time seems to be independent of quality, about equal to playing time on this hardware. When conversion was stopped before the end, the converted part, at least in DivX format, was playing OK as far as the conversion was stopped, not lost like with some conversion programs. Easy to use, but the user must know the video file types he is converting.
Very good software to grab almost any printable page into a PDF file. Handy to make a single file copy of a HTML-page with many different types of pictures. In spite of being 0.9 version, PDFcreator is reliable and stable. It installs like a printer. When you select PDFcreator "printer" it comes back asking file name and after that you have the print-out in a file, which can be handled like any PDF file. In half a year I have been using this, there has been a few cases of the PDFcreator file being different from printed page or failing to print.
Sounds good - I used similar with Windows 98, but this one seems to need some kind kind of instructions. Until now, I can create virtual DVDs, but not load any content. Tried also MagicISO, and it seems to create ISO image, which Magic disk mounts using command line command MagicDisk.exe -mnt f: "PathImagefilename", but still no content in the virtual drive.
