I am posting this follow up, to my previous post in Jan. 05, to say that on top of a great value with continuous updates, the support from the author has been excellent.
Response has always been swift, be it a simple question or a problem that I can't resolve on my own.
I have recorded nearly 60 gb of music files so far, and the results have been excellent.
I especially like the graphic equalizer in the program, for enhancing the recorded sound of older cassettes, that have been played countless times.
Great software! Try it, you'll like it.

I came upon Audiotools 5.10 when looking for a reasonably priced program to record a mountain of cassette tapes that I have a accumulated over the years. Never having done any recording with my computer before, I just about fell over from sticker shock when I looked at some of the boxed software on the shelves.
The help section in Audio tools is very informative, so I incourage you to take the time to sit and read it. I was appreciative of the fact that, the author took the time to put things into laymans terms for first timers as I was.
So far I have recorded about 300 songs to my hard drive, and probobly have 1000 to go. Inhancing older tapes, that have lost some of there sound quality, has been easy, with all the plug-ins available with the program.
As I admitted early on, I am new to audio recording software, but in my opinion, Audiotools is a great program for all levels of experience. Wizards will guide you through simple recording, or with all the plug-ins, it can be a powerful program for advanced users.
I just downloaded 5.20, and I'm looking forward to my next recording session.
Great price, a generous trial period, and continuous upgrades, warrants a big thumbs up in my book!
