Sonos 4 can turn a Windows PC into an radio broadcast processor if a suitable sound card is present.
The app interfaces to sound cards using either ASIO or the Windows native multimedia sound interface. Sonos 4 can be automatically started when Windows boots and it also can be made to minimize to the system tray and stay out of the way of other app usage.
Sonos 4 has the ability to connect to Icecast & Shoutcast servers for Internet streaming, allowing up to four connections. The supported encoding types are Ogg/Vorbis.,MP3 & AAC+. MP3 & AAC+ streaming need the Winamp plugins to be present.
