ReMPEG2 is a utility for transcoding an MPEG-2 video file from full D1 resolution to half D1 resolution (e.g. 704x480 -> 352x480).

Very practical for backing up your DVDs on VCD. No need to store huge full-resolution AVI files, when you only need half the resolution.
