PiMPStreamer is a realtime video/audio streamer between your PC and FLV capable browsers.

This means that you can stream data from your PC to PSP (Playstation Portable), PS3 (Playstation 3), Wii and other device that have FLV capabilities. Any format (AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP3, OGG, etc.) or size can be streamed. PiMPStreamer is a very simple program to use and edit settings with.

PiMPStreamer acts as a server on your computer that can be accessed by devices connected to the network. In case of PSP, the PiMPStreamer installer will automatically install the homebrew files necessary to your Memory Stick. From there, you will be able to access the PiMPStreamer server from your PSP and watch your multimedia files. It encodes the files on-the-fly, so needless to say, it is a hungry process. For this reason, it is best not to have CPU-intensive tasks running at the same time you are streaming video.
