SubAdjust is a small tool that allows you to synchronize subtitles to match with the video, split subtitles, convert various subtitle formats, etc.
Software supports SubViewer 2.0, SubRip and MicroDVD formats as an input format and can also output SSA subtitles, if needed. Also, splitting subtitle files -- in case your DivX is a 2-CD version -- is very easy task with this tool. Relatively easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
To play subtitles with your video, you need something like this.
