Folder Ferret is an app that can provide details about a folder and its contents.
It is quick and simple to use, showing files by type and number with the option to view files of a type by name. Files can also be filtered by attribute.

Features of Folder Ferret:
- There are three sections to the window. The drive/folder section is used for transitting your computer. There are two list views. The upper (folder view) shows files within a folder by type, number and size and the lower (file view) selected files by name.
- There are two popup menus, one for each list view.
- A folder can be selected from the directory view list or the popup menu or Folder Ferret can be opened from the context menu or a drive/folder can be dropped on an opened application or on a created shortcut icon.
- Initially file types by number and total sizes are shown for the selected folder. Selecting a file type will list all files of that type in file view by name, creation and modification date, attributes and size.
- Double clicking on any file type in folder view will list files of all types.
- Files can be filtered by attribute in addition to type. Select which (R-Read Only, H-Hidden, S-System, A-Archive) attributes you are looking for. Files will be filtered if 'Filter' is checked.
- Both list views can be sorted by clicking on the column headers.
- Both list views can be copied to clipboard in either simple CSV, XML or HTML format.
- Both list views can be saved in either simple CSV, XML or HTML format.
- Selected files in file view can be copied ready to paste.
- Double clicking on a single file in file view will run/open it if possible.
- Hints are shown along the bottom bar.
- The currently selected folder is shown in the drive/folder section list.
- All sections can be resized by adjusting the splitter between them.
