This is awesome software! Downloaded it because screen kept freezing and wouldn't let ctrl alt delete to end anything now everything works just fine.

SmitFraudFix is the bomb! AWOLA was killing me and none of the big name programs could get rid of it. SmitFraudFix wiped it from my system with one wack. I love you SmitFraudFix!

Some antiviruses find this as a virus. Disable the AV, run the product, delete the product, enable the AV. Works like a champ. Love this!

omg! i thought these reviews were all fake, and made up but smitfraud actually works! i was going through the commands and was about half way through the cleaning of the registry when i decided to just quit and run explorer again... and the icon was gone!

This is fabulous software and the instructions were dead on. Those popups and blinking icons were driving me crazy, and this took care of it in just a few minutes.

I also forgot to mention beside the annoying Security Alert and System Alert popups it has also HIJACKED my Internet Explorer Home Page and I can't get it back! So I'm using Firefox for now to get out to the internet. Thanks for much for any tips! LRRH321

Help! I downloaded the SmitFraudFix v2.253 and I am still infected with those "annoying" security alert: spyware found, notices popping up over and over again. Please help or direct me to a more current version to delete these annoying popups asap. I followed all the directions using SmitFraudFix and upon reboot the popups still "live".....Signed, Frustrated with M/S.

Okay. So the execution didn't go perfectly. I got infected by this really stubborn hijacker/fake antispyware site called antivirgear (no relation to the excellent plain antivir which I use on a regular basis). I tried my usual antispyware scans. They detected it in both cases and supposedly removed it in both cases...but didn't. Usually Spybot and Adaware are reliable and work but this stuff was particularly stubborn! After all, I ran these scans AFTER a supposed uninstall of Antivirgear. (Those liars!) I looked for a while to find a cleaner/remover online and stumbled across SmitFraudFix. Followed the instructions. A little quirky and the final part of cleaning the registry supposedly failed. Some sort of warning saying unable to access registry or whatever, but IT WORKED! Upond reboot, not only did was it no longer hijacking my page from my default real home page to the bogus antivirgear site, it returned it to the original state with MSN as the homepage, just like an entire system clean reinstall! Practically returned it to a virgin state. This stuff works! If your problem can't be solved by your regular anti spyware software and the threat happens to be on SmitFraudFix's list of target problems, it will work. Good luck to all who use it. Thanks, ran this software just for s___ and giggles. It fixed a 2 month problem I had accepted; Firefox was taking 10 -15 seconds to open despite antivirus and spyware programs installed (and run!). Now, 1-2 seconds and it's up and running like a champ!!

Somehow an insidious and pesky infection called UCleaner or UDefender showed up on my computer--incessant pop-ups, etc. I saw a suggestion to try smitfraud and I am happy to say that smitfraud worked perfectly. Thank you for developing such a program, and I salute your generosity in providing it as freeware.

Thanks for SmitFraudFix. The pest Trap trapped me and refused to release me. v2.206 came to my rescue. They wiped out pest trap and one more spy (I don't remember the name)bug. The killing of bugs took less than five minutes. Thank you once again! Great work!!

I had a friend that had a Nasty PUP called "Spycrush. It was undetected by her up to date Norton Anti-Virus, undetected by AdAwar. Uninstallable.Used 100% CPU from startup! Used Smitfraudfix and it worked like a Charm! Kudos to the writers of this software! Thanks!

Great software if you have smitfraud or winfixer, but you will also need software like killbox to get rid of that last file that doesn't seem to ever want to go away. Dave

Smitfraudfix is the best!!! I've tried following the manual removal of worms and it worked! I also downloaded your newest version and it was such unbelieveable! I'd say Smitfraudfix is answer to all sorts of spyware and worm problems! I hope to avail of it forever! Thanks to all your whiz/genius team!

After almost 2 hours of downloading various tools that were "free" (for scanning not for cleanup), I found SmitFraudFix and it literally took just a couple of minutes to get rid of Virus Bursters (ugh!!!). It is truly excellent!!!
