eMule is a machine, it rules, if you use the wizard, limit uploads at 80% of available bandwidth (network overheads), keep a clean Serverlist (there are currently only about 20 real servers, rest are fakes), by updating !IPFILTER WEEKLY !, get a High ID (forward eMules Ports), run it 24/7, don't fiddle with it, don't stare at it, que only 25 downloads at once, line up some files and leave it alone...

You can start up to 25 files (waiting or downloading), more will get you blacklisted, you can have hundred's STOPPED in transfer screen, (in options/files check "start next paused file when download finishes", STOPPED counts as paused and emule will keep working, use categories make emule work on a series of files..

On a 512/128 adsl connection my emule was pulling 130gb a month thru line.....Running KAD only (no Servers)...
This is great software.
This is fantastic software far superior to most on the net, down load speeds are very good, what else do we need!!! 10/10 points
No complaints here. I've been using Emule for over 4 years now. Great for rare movies and isos. Whoever is whining about the speed needs to adjust the settings correctly.
The only option to movies and music download now that ISPs round the world are throttling BT. Gets decent download rate, if you do your settings right.
Zygryd quit your whining if you don't want it then don't download it, this program is very good for rare ISO's etc that you can't get on torrents and with a 246k download (2mg donnection) you can get nearly 3/4 that amount on emule providing you configure it properly.
nice
ola
It's only good for mp3 or rare iso's or movies, if you can't find them on bittorrent. Nuff said, this whole upload more, get faster download is bullshit. My ratio upload to download in eMule is 3:1 at least, and my download speed is poor 1KB-20KB/s (256KB/s possible). With well seeded torrent it max my cap easily... First search bittorrent sites, then use eMule, my advice.
It is good software, I mean that is undemandig one like Kazaa with tones of adware.
:)..good but can be better
The eMule sharing system seems to be improperly balanced. It doesn't go that sharing = getting, and it is clearly plays out that sharing <> getting with eMule. Perhaps if we were all to download a library of congress the eMule system would statistically work itself out and we would all be happy, but basically the system sucks. In practice, you are far better off with bit torrent if you are concerned with getting a large file.

The Good:
Extreme file diversity. You can get really hard to find stuff here, even if it DOES takes a month to download.
The Bad:
It's painfully slow at downloading. If you have really good uploading capabilities (like cable), expect to upload 3 or 4 times what you download. Most of this bandwidth will go to feeding European leechers. Turning down your upload speed might make you feel better, but you won't get the files any quicker.
Recommendations:
Search for the files you want on a site like Suprnova.org and use bittorrent to download them. If you can't find the files you're after with bittorrent, use eMule.
This software sucks it gives other high upload speed but poor download speed. i have it for two month and i can upload up to 48kb (my maxium connection is 150kb i only give 48kb to upload though) while with download you can only get around 4.5kb or maybe 2.5kb i never have a download that can go through 10kb before with this software. (and it also allow people to keep the rare file hidden which is gay what's the point of p2p software if you can even download rare stuff, also it disable you to stop upload!!!) this is a totally a junk software unless you would rather wait to five day to download a software from it you may not think it is.
Thank you
eMule is simply the best there is, no competition whatsoever.
HAVING LOTS OF PROBLEMS ,BEING ACCEPTED AND BEING DISCONECTED
Well, what can I say? It's eMule! As Dela mentioned, you really have to give to get, which makes leechers almost nonexistant. And because everyone gives, everyone gets. It's a very good network as well.
eMule really shows the power and quality that the donkey network really is. I also like the, you have to givge to get part of the whole network, its what made it what it is now!
