This is the latest stable version of this software. There is a newer beta version (v8.0 Beta 1) available. The beta version might have new features compared to the stable version, but may also be more unstable. Download the latest beta version.

Internet Explorer 7 has a new interface that shows more of each webpage you visit. The streamlined toolbar makes it easier to add websites to your Favorites, search the web, clear your history, and access the other tasks and tools you use most. It also includes support for your favorite seach provivers. With the built-in search box, you can search the web at any time without having to open a search provider page.

Microsoft is also introducing lots of new features including tabbed browsing and RSS feeds.

Not sure either of you have actually used IE7. There's some pretty incredible features in it that Firefox hasn't even thought of, much less extended. It also brings in some nifty new keyboard shortcuts.

Still not as good a Firefox. I don't think it ever will be. Looks nice though, and is an improvement over IE6.
