eDonkey2000 combines the strenghts of both Gnutella and Napster while avoiding their problems. It doesn't rely on a central server yet searches are quick and your client doesn't get bogged down with endless search requests. You have the ability to search all the files being shared anywhere on the eDonkey2000 network.

It allows you to transfer any type of file. It automatically resumes interrupted transfers from alternate sources. It even introduces ways to share a whole collection of files together so you can be sure to get all the songs in an album or all pieces of a movie. Users will be able to download a file from multiple sources at the same time thus insuring that transfers will be as fast as possible.

Files can be uploaded while being downloaded. This insures that a rare file that is wanted by many people will be distributed as quickly as possible.

eDonkey2000 Windows GUI Client v1.3

No matter what you choose, during installation they will install spyware anyway... thats total crap i used edonkey a lot in the past, but now i had to reinstall windows because of new version and new agressive spyware. When my antispyware detected and removed it just after installation, my xp network stopped working (something about dns service because i could ping ip's but not names). I highly advise not to install this piece of shit, and try something clean, free and open source for ed2k network and kademlia - eMule.

eDonkey2000 Windows GUI Client v1.1

I say very poor because when installing, spy ware was detected along with a virus. My virus software removed the virus and the new Microsoft spyware Beta removed the spyware. Additional scans and my system is cleaned. Would recomment Afterdawn check this and other softwares as other machines will be infected.

i just installed it and it gave the option to not install adware and spyware so far good , but when i started the program my antispyware alerted me that it was tryin to install bundler software so it started to delete it not very good i dont need spyware and adware on my computer so in my opinion dont use it its bad
