Shareaza v2.3.0.0

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v2.4.0.0 (latest stable version).

Shareaza is a free (and doesn't have ads/spyware either) P2P client that connects to multiple P2P networks, including BitTorrent, Gnutella and eDonkey networks.

If you're sick and tired of popups, spyware, badly behaving bloated commercial P2P tools, but still want to have a decent sized P2P network, Shareaza might be the solution for you.

Note: There is a scam version of Shareaza circulating the web called Shareaza V4. Do not download shareaza from shareaza.com. The official homepage for Shareaza is http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/. More info available here.

Iv used alot of P2P applications like, kazaa, limewire,ares, this one is the best by far, it gets you lots of results much much more than i did on limewire.

shareza is the only p2p i ever used its great and compact. i had tried to use Azureus but since it could never connect for me i went back to shareza.

Its awesome no spyware/adware and it uses 3 networks gnutella1, gnetella2, and edonkey.

Ok i can say I have tried just about every p2p that has ever existed. WinMX is fine, if you want to be put on a waiting list sometimes. Shareaza is not perfect in every aspect but it is perfect for me. I hope they finish beta stage soon!

I hear about this software from a friend and I'm very satisfied with it. The most important feature of this software is that it doesnt have any addware or spyware. Downloads are not that fast about 30 min for one song using dial up, but overall I Like it.

ive been using version 2.1.0.0 and its very good!ive not been having bandwidth problems due to seeding at all.in fact,it seems to be leeching.i have to leave my downloads open to get a 1:1 ratio.t only gripe i have is that torrent speeds seem to suck on this (torrents which i tested and compared with bittornado and got a lot better speeds with the same torrent on tornado) and sometimes dont give the invaluable information of a tracker being down etc and you think youre in a queue. use this for anything other than torrents and youll be pleasantly surprised.

Very Good!!.....there is no adware or spyware and there are tons of files when you search. I wa not really impressed with the download speeds

I have been using Shareaza 2.0 for a couple of weeks now, but I think I will roll back to the previous version. Madmax19 may be rite. It didn't occure to me until I read his review, but yea, it does take for ever to download the last 50mb. In fact, I came upon his review while searching for better settings for that very reason. I downloaded several ISO files of normal size (400-700mb), and just when I thought I was home free, the transfer rate slowed from 200 Kb/s to 20Kb/s, then stoped! Once in a while it teases you with a short 20 dl of around 7 or 8 kb/s. I am getting quite frustrated at this point.

Guys be careful, most of all that it does not allow you to set upload spped limits thereby hogging yr bandwidth.It simply wont obey the setting !! secondly after about 50 % of yr file downloads suddenly you'll find tremendous uploading and no Incoming at all. Be careful , this versionis a "Seeder" version i.e. it seeds multiple files on computers , not allowing them to complete for som-time / days thereby expanding its network at the expense of users. Downlaod this only if you have bandwidth to burn. Believe me I tried a lot of settings -- had to warn others.

Shareaza has been working quite well for me (although I've been using version 2.0.0.0, which is available at www.shareaza.com, not the older version posted here) The interface is similar to eMule, but simplified, and as such, it doesn't give you quite as wide a range of options to work with. The only thing that bothers me about it is that it serems to measure download speed in Kilobits per second instead of Kilobytes as most other p2p software does, but that only took a while to get used to.
