Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Jetico Personal Firewall is a freeware firewall that allows You to protect
your computer against hackers and malicious software when networked or connected to the internet. It includes all required Firewall features using three-layer
approach.

Low-level (Network packet filter) checks the validity of network packets and
parameters such as source & destination addresses, protocol, etc.
Application-level (Network events filter) Checks and enables you to monitor
network/internet connection requests made by applications.
User-level (Process activity filter) notifies you of and prevents dirty tricks by
Trojans and other malicious programs.

I`m an advanced PC user and I use jetico firewall for 5 years and it`s the best firewall. But to use his capacity you have to understand how the networks work then you understand how you can customize the policies of the firewall. Jetico Firewall v1.0.1.61 it`s a completely free firewall but it works max. in WinXP not Win7, for Win7 you will need at least v.2.1.0.5 but from v2 Jetico Firewall is a shareware program, it`s not freeware anymore. <br/> <br/>Conclusion: The best, if you have a proper network knowledge.

Jetico on varmasti monipuolisin ja tehokkain muuri mitä löytyy. Ja se joka jaksaa säätää saa jeticosta hyvän muurin, mutta säätämistä riittää. Jetico ottaa koko koneen haltuun ja hallitsee jopa kaikkia ajureita, niin että et pysty käyttämään edes ääniä tietokoneessasi perusasetuksilla! Tämä kokonaisvaltaisuus tekee varmasti yhteen sopivuus ongelmia, joten suosittelen pysymään erossa vanhoista versiosta ja beetta versioista, ihan nyt varmuuden varalta.

  Jetico Personal Firewall v2.0.2.5

I'm an advanced PC user and have used Jetico firewall for two years after trying Norton (too much bloat) and Commodo (screwed with software). It's a light-weight, easy-to-install firewall and is unintrusive until it needs to be. Perhaps it's more for geeks/experienced users, but the average user should give it a try. Recommended.

Please uninstall previous versions of Jetico Personal Firewall software before installing this one.
Windows 9x/Me system support discontinued. Please use Jetico Personal Firewall v1 for these systems.
