Defragmenting a drive can improve performance and prolong the life of the hard drive by making files as contiguous as possible, instead of scattered loosely throughout the disk, putting more stress on the internal components to find and read the sectors.
Make sure a defragment is absolutely necessary before running this, or any disk defragmenting tool.
This version of HDiskDefrag is for 32-bit Windows operating systems. You can get a 64-bit version of HDiskDefrag too. It works from Windows XP onward.
