WGA Remover is a small tool that disables the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) service on Windows XP.
If the operating system is found to not have a legitimate license, WGA will nag the user at start-up and shut down, and also change the Desktop background to display a message about counterfeit software.
There were reports that this tool can lead to false positives sometimes. However, even users of legitimate Windows operating systems may not like having this service running and constantly checking the operating system.
This single click tool claims to disable it.
