Windows File Analyzer is a tool you can use to get information from special files in Windows.

This information is useful for forensic reasons. For example, you can use this tool to view the contents of a thumbs.db file, which is a file created with the thumbnail images of digital image files stored in a particular folder.

It can also read Index.dat files, which are stored by Internet Explorer and contain lists of websites visited and other user data.
