six starts

yes, it will repair damage to your DirectShow filters.

K-lite is a kludge at best... it "works" but it doesn't work as well as it ought

Why the girl who calls herself 'post-void residual urine volume for me' (PVR4me) keeps pointing out that k-lite is "faggy" and "xxxgay" while at the same time giving the codec pack the possible lowest rating, is a real puzzle. Everyone knows that gay is good and that 'faggy codecs' rock!

PVR4me might try explaining exactly what she means.

k-lite is xxx-gay. CCCP and Mplayer (mpui) are all you need.

CCCP undoes many of the problems introduces by many packs even more lame than k-lite

CCCP is endorsed by the developers of the matroska standard and dooom9 aficionados

k-lite, akin to 'liberal' "leaders", is endorsed by twits, overclockers, and the generally ignorant

What really impressed was the way this software installed. It looks for priviously installed codecs that may cause conflict and unintalls them. Then it installs. Some people may misunderstand what this codec really does when reading the introduction here at Afterdawn. This codec has everything you'll need to encode or decode audio/video on your computer. H264 playback, MKV, Divx, Xvid all playback flawlessly when using MPC or TheKMPlayer. Highly recommended. This codec may have been written with anime in mind, but I assure you it plays just about everything else just as well.
