QuickTime Alternative Lite (QT7 based) v1.77

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v1.95 (latest stable version).

QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files without having to install the official QuickTime Player.

All QuickTime formats (.mov .qt .3gp etc.) are supported, including streaming content and QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.

Some advantages compared to QuickTime player:

Quick and easy install
It's easy to make an unattended installation
No background processes
Use a player of your own choice
Low on resources
Smaller size

The only difference between the regular and lite versions is that the lite version does not include Media Player Classic.

Complements Real Alternative very nicely. I already had Media Player Classic included with that download, and didn't need another copy of it, so chose this "Lite" version. Easily installed and works great on embedded Quicktime content on webpages viewed in Firefox.
