This program is terrific!. Simplicity is its forte. I read all these different forums related to burning Madagascar. Most of the solutions were rather complicated. With DVDFab Decrypter you push the Start button. It decrypts it in about 35 minutes. You then find the DVD file in My Documents, shrink it in DVD Shrink and burn it. Voila! Done.

This program is the BEST thus far! I was having sooo!many problems ripping "STEALTH" with DVD Decrypter to my Laptop,theN the thanks to afterdawn,I was able to find DVDfab & it's the one.Put it like this,it's one of,if not the BEST i have ever used.THANKS.

This is the best ripping software out there... I now rip the movie to my harddrive, then recode it with DVD shrink. I get much better results now.

this is awesome! I was a big fan of dvd shrink, but recently it hasnt been able to read original dvds (it used to) so i set about trying to find a program that would. dvd fab worked first time, so now i only use dvd shrink to burn dvds.

For some reason I could not decrypt the movie "Stealth" (tried 3 different copies) with DVD Decrypter but when I used DVDFab it worked the first time.

Used it with a S**Y movie that locked up everything else. Ripped it then used DVD shrink and it worked GREAT!!!

Having many problems with new update. Errors out on Hitchikers Guide To THe Galaxy and B-5 Season 1 discs. Earler versions worked way better. Went back to older version, problems gone

tried using v2.9.6.0 and it's still causing problem, or says it encountered a problem and needs to shut down, can anyone explain what's going on, is it the beta program, or my computer...using XP pro sp2.

WHAT HAPPENED?? Use to love this program(v2.9.6.0), ever since I upgraded to the new v2.9.6.2 beta I've had nothing but problems!! locks up everything, freezes my computer, burns turn out horrible. Please fix or bring back old version.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE OLD DECRYPTER...BUT CAME ACROSS PROBLEMS WITH BACKING UP NEWER DVDS. THIS A GREAT PROGRAM I STILL LOVE THE OLD ONE THO CAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE PROGRESS. BUT GIVE THIS ONE PROPS. NO NEED FOR SHRINK DECRYPT THEN USE NERO ULTRA THEN SIT BACK. A MUST HAVE!!!!!

This is the new DVD Decrypter. Works flawlessly and updates more than Microsoft, Use it. You will like it. I have several other bought programs including Any DVD and Clone DVD which work quite well, but I bought them and this is FREE. It works with ShrinkDVD and extemely well with NERO RECODE Nuff Said

Like many, I used DVD Decrypter prior to it's end :( I've tried and failed with many software combo's since. Nothing compares to fab decrypter - it's SO easy to use (and is supported for updates). Now my copy routine includes (used in the order shown) dvd fab, dvd shrink and nero to burn. Thank you so much for this great software! Would love to donate if anyone stumbles upon the author of this great program!

I have been using shrink w/decrypter for a long time. Since Dvd Decrypter stoped updating I have been having the the software from time to time come up with errors. I have worked thru all of them till I ran into "sony" well thats when I turn back to my trusty Afterdawn.com. In return I learn about dvd fab. well I backed up LOD (by sony) I used dvd fab n then used shrink to decrypter, I'm in pure bliss. Thank you a million times over fab. If I find a donation link for fab I surely donate a buck. THANK YOU FAB PERFECT 10 IN MY BOOK

DVDFab Decrypter v2.9.5.2 Beta 3 Past 3 days been trying to backup my copy of "Lords of DogTown". DVD-Decrypter, AnyDVD, DVD-Fab/beta2 would not provide a video file or ISO which DVD-Shrink or Nero Recode could read. Tried again today with a fresh updated version of DVD-Fab v2.9.5.2 Beta 3 .... WORKED LIKE A CHARM.

The ideal solution for those of us content to just watch those legally purchased movies only ever released in Regions 1&2. (Applies to a lot of non-Hollywood films!) Angst free, no more guilty ripping, copying etc. and it's legal to boot! (take that Sony) Perfect playback, no incompatability problems - simplicity itself. Thank you

Works as well as DVD Decrpyter & DVD Shrink. A good free piece of software that does the job well. I used it to Rip/Copy a DVD to my Hard Drive then used DVD Shrink to open,compress and burn to Disc. It also is the most up to date of any software available when avoiding all Copy protections. Great Stuff to all involved with the development of this program.

I have been using this software for several months now. It has performed flawlessly, copied every movie I throw at it, no crashes AND does it in a reasonable time. It is as good or better than other programs that I have paid for.

I have backed up several movies with this software and not one problem. I also tried it with three different types of blank media and all worked fine. I would have given it a perfect "five" if it were not for it being slow. I downloaded the DVD to my HD and then used Nero 6. to burn. If you are going to make two copies of the same movie, Nero has a selection to enter more then one copy. The second does not take as long as the first since the movie has already been prepared for burning.

I tried this software and it did not rip very well and it was supper slow. It does not work well with shrink or either the output quality was just crappy. During playback, it looked like a bad digital T.V. channel during a thunderstorm (Blocky). For those of you whom it works well for bravo, as for me this software needs some serious work.

I have tried this software on several titles and one thing I noticed was an increase in ripping speed. Although I still use Decrypter and only use DVDfab once in a while, it has never failed. This is very good software.

bzbluehol, If you were to use anydvd then there is no need for this software; it also saves the ripping portion of the process as you can go straight to shrink without the original rip. Why waste so much time over a few buck? Slysoft had extended a $10 discount on anydvd to afterdawn members. It's well worth the $$$$ saves time lots of updates for troublesome encryptions. These folke trying to use this free software are just cheap it's a big fat waste of time.

I have enjoyed using DVDFab Decrypter, I have used at least 6 times and find that it works with few if any error messages. I found that my computer would lock sometimes when going from DVD Decrypter to DVD Shrink, I have yet to come across this with DVDFab. Nothing is flawless, but so far this comes the closest at the stage of it's life.

Accolades are premature re: DVDFab Decryptor. Did not successfully backup "Hitch". Got hung up or froze computer (tired four times), whereas DVD Decryptor got it on first try. Don't pass that torch yet, as this software appears to be a "work in progress" and needs refinement. If DVDIdle wants customers for its "pay" software, they should make this freeware so good as to reflect any doubt about quality of their products.

I used it to back up my original of Coach Carter. I found it ripped to my HD faster than DVD Decrypter. It did it in 15-16 minutes. DVD Decrypter normally took about 25-30 minutes. Just my experience.

Ok, so I'm a bit confused. DVDFab Decrypter rips the dvd to the hard drive, then I assume you must use something like DVD Shrink to create the ISO file, but when you try to burn it with DVD Decrypter after using Shrink...you get a write error. If you use Image Tool Classic to create the ISO file and ask it to check the file size...it reports that the file is too large (obviously) to store on a single layer DVD. So, how do you get a good shrink & burn using this software? What am I missing here?

The torch has been passed! All you DVD DECRYPTER fans...FEAR NOT! The cause has been taken up by DVDIDLE and they will keep it up to date! Take THAT M.P.A.A.! We all know DVD Decrypter is a great DVD ripper, why do we need another one? Well, the reason is DVD Decrypter's development has stopped, so it will not support newer versions of Sony ARccOS protection automatically. Fortunately, DVDFab Decrypter is always updated to support the latest protection, so you can backup your DVD movies to hard disk as before. For example, the movie 'Closer' cannot be copied by DVD Decrypter automatically, but with the help of DVDFab Decrypter, you can copy it without any problem.

Seemed to work OK if a bit on the slow side. It took about 32 minutes to rip Lemony Snicket. DVD Decrypter ripped the same movie in about 15 minutes or so. It is good to see another free ripper out and I commend dvdidle for the freeware. I would sure like to see some sort of progress log on the program.

tried it on the movie hitch. it seemed to copy ok,but both dvdshrink and dvd2one choked on the ripped files while processing. this program is supposed to be able to do arccos,maybe they need to update the program to handle this title. It does have 29 title sets. I still think its a good program,for the price.
