Im running a Dell XPS 8500, i7-3770 3.4 ghz, Windows 8. I bought ioGears adapter model GUC2025H without checking for Windows 8 compatibility. It causes all sound (except system sounds) to turn off. Videos and iTunes will not work. Checked their website for drivers and Windows 8 isnt there. Any advice?

You can try these Windows 8 codecs and see if that works for you.Download them from Afterdawn.

Thanks for your replies. I tried both and no luck. Ill keep looking for an answer. Thanks!
Problem solved. I went to a local computer store and explained the situation I had. Expecting to need to buy a second video card, the salesman told me to go into the device menu and disable the ioGears audio. That worked!
