I watch movies off my usb stick all the time. :). The movies have to be in the right format, and so does the usb device.
My usb stick is formated in FAT 32, and all my media files are in AVI. I assume that other formats may work, but I can guarantee this will work. If you need more help feel free to contact me.

Yes....you can. I recommend using AVI file format (cleaner file and smaller in size). You can also stream your videos thru your pc/laptop thru Windows Media Player or an application like Tversity This can be done thru your wirless or hard wired network as long as your 360 has wifi or is hard wired.
