Maybe your mind has separated from the rest of your body.

If discs are separated they are broken. Maybe they can play in your mind.

A DVD is made of 2 halves,to keep dvd in shape the halves are slightly concave or is it convex, meh either way the tension on both keep it in place,if the two halves are coming apart youll see it therell be a gap

i just looked at your question and out of curious felt the edge of some dvds (2originals,2backed up dvds and 1 unused blank).the edge isnt perfectly smooth.if you turn the disc to the light on the right angle it will look like theres series of raised dots on the edge.that would be why it feels rough.i dont know how cds are made but if you google it might give you more answers.

Thats Why I Asked The Question To See
If Its Possible
Because People I Know Dont Think A DVD Player Could
Do That Since There Is No Contact Its A Laser
So I Just Wanted Reassuring.
