How can I get my stuff off of an SD disc that keeps asking me to format it

I put some files onto an SD disc to save until I needed them, I now want to put them back on the computer but everytime I put the disc in it comes up with format disc, the trouble is if I format the disc I will lose all the files I was saving.

Is there a way of geting them without formating this disc, it was formatted before I put the files onto it, Ive tried it in both of my readers but it still comes up with format this disc.

You could try to connect it to another computer. But, I doubt that will. You could try a file recovery program, if that dosent work say goodbye to the files because you wont get them back. (data could be corrupt or the sd card could have messed the formatting up. Did you keep it close to something with a magnet in it.)

Ive had problems in the past with SD cards when I fill them to capacity . . .

When I back up important stuff, I usually use two DVDs (with identical info burned to each)

Sounds like your SD card has eaten your files . . sorry
