how do play iso files

Download virtual clone from http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html , its the only free program on the site. Install it, then mount the iso by right clicking on the iso image, and selecting the "mount with Virtual clone". Then you should be able to run/open or do whatever you need to do. This is what I use, and i prefer it over others like MagicISO. Hoped this helped.

An ISO is an image file; not playable unto itself.

So what kind of file(s) does it contain? Audio? Video? Other??

You need to know.

vlc or mpc can play iso audio/video without need to upack
