i am now using att dsl for my internet why cant i use my router to run mutiple devices like i did on cable

yes you can. is the dsl a modem or a combination modem/router?

I also have ATT DSL and that is what I am doing.ATT requires you to use their own modem. So just connect the modem up to your router.I have the ATT Modem with a linksys 4 port router.

I am using at&t , the router connects to their modem /gateway...they provide the modem in order to collect monthly "rental "fees.

However, the same gateway/modem is provided at no charge for U-Verse TV...at&t rips off the consumer, again when net is added.
