Try copying the videos to the hard drive before viewing. Now try viewing them directly from the hard drive. Still freezing the computer??

Try same videos on a different computer. Do they freeze the other machine??

If they freeze your machine directly from the hard drive or any other computer, I would say something is corrupted on the video files themselves.
