I have a dreambox 7020, I left it on over night to scan for channels, when I got up this morning all that will come up on the LCD is Space Invaders?

I think that it is stuck in some sort of boot load but I am not sure. I tried to get into it threw my network, and with a cross over cable, the box no longer has a IP address so there is no way to find it on the network. Before I go out and buy a bunch of different types of cables and adapters I want to know what or if it is fixable first? Then what is going to be the best way to fix it, so that I am not spending time and cash that I do not need to.
I bought it off from E-bay and the seller is of no use, he claims that I did something to it, all I did was set it up and leave it on over night and let it do its thing over night. If you can give me any help with this it will be greatly appreciated, also if you can suggest a good image to use, this is not a clone or fake but a real dreambox, not a cheap copy of one. I have seen several that offer different types of advantages and I am confused about which one is going to be the best, I just want to be able to watch TV, Movies and connect to the internet for a faster connection. Thanks for all your help MJ
