I saved a file onto my Blackberry from my old laptop. Now when I open it appears as some symbols and some words? What Happened and How can I fix it?

I have a blackberry curve 9300 and before I dropped my last laptop, I saved 2 word flies to my blackberry. They now show up as symbols and some words. They are important files and I really need them back. I have already tried changing the font and the program in which to open it with nothing helps. What happened and how can I fix it?

Does the Blackberry normally open your word files without problems?? I am guessing that your files on the laptop went bye bye when dropped.

Suspect you are out of luck?

have to use ms word or office org to open them so i presume you do not have either on the blackberry?
