I had the same problem but I was able to fix it.
Instead of using the automatic connection settings, I set it to manual and entered all my information.
To find the IP, Subnet, and Gateway just open command prompt and type ipconfig
I used two open dsn numbers which are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
If you do all that then you should have internet :)

Hi. I get the Link Up status message fine. When I run the Network Test it works correctly through resolving www.RCAav.com but when it actually tries to connect to that website it times out and fails. Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem! Says link up, but cannot establish a connection to RCAav.com. FRUSTRATING! If you have figured it out let me know. I even called RCAs 1800 number and they said that the site is down, try in an hour. The site is not down!

the rca 1023 bluray player is not wireless so you have to connect with an ethernet cable or get a universal wi-fi adapter.it wont connect to www.rca.com because it isnt connected to the internet.

Ok you need to plug a network cable into the back of your player and plug the other end to a router if you have one if you are just connecting to the internet modem check and see if it has network ports if so go to set one if you have one port plugged in you computer you will need a router to connect you player to it

1. in your main menu go to settings and go down to network and then select Wired.

2. if connection is active Link Up will appears next to Link
Status If the network connection is not active, Link Down displays next to Link Status.

3. now go down to IP Mode press OK. if IP Mode is Off or at Manual move it up to Dynamic — Uses DHCP to automatically obtain an IP address. or use Manual if you know the ip settings.

4. you should be able to connect now if you have a free network port. If you do not have a free network port you will need a router and when you can setting up your network.

this is all i can do sorry if it dose not help. i hope it helps.
